Dr. Anil Kurian was born and raised in Edmonton and completed his medical degree at McMaster University before completing his five-year dermatology residency at the University of Alberta. During his residency, he served as Chief Dermatology Resident and Co-Chair of the Canadian Dermatology Association's Residents and Fellows Society.

As a published author of two dermatology textbooks and more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles, Dr. Kurian has dedicated his career to advancing evidence-based dermatologic care. His work has been recognized by both the Canadian Dermatology Association and the Ontario Medical Association for his contributions to dermatology education, research, and public health advocacy.
